MINSK, 21 Jul â€“ RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus is interested in developing close cooperation with Ukraine and “not friends against someone”.
As reported the press service of the Belarusian leader, this statement was made during a meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko (in expanded format) on Friday in Kyiv. According to her, “Lukashenko stressed Belarus’ interest in developing close cooperation with Ukraine, including in the output of joint products to the markets of third countries.”
“One on one, we discussed the most sensitive issues of cooperation. We are going to move, and I told you that we have no allergies, we do not sell and are not friends against someone. We want to work together on a long arc, in other countries, to create a joint product, sell it” â€” leads the press service quoted Lukashenko.
The Belarusian leader called for cooperation in the field of creation of high-tech goods to “them together to trade on foreign markets”. “This was the essence of our agreements one on one”, â€” said the President of the Republic.
He also said that Belarus “is well developed regional cooperation with Russia, China, other major States.”
“Maybe we can study the issue and to collect such inter-regional forums,” said the Belarusian leader Ukrainian counterpart. As a place for such a forum, according to Lukashenko, can become the Belarusian town of Gomel, and afterwards they could be held alternately in Belarus and Ukraine. Lukashenko said that interregional cooperation gives a dramatic effect.
