Ekaterinburg. July 7. INTERFAX – the Sverdlovsk regional court examined the appeals against the verdict of Yekaterinburg blogger Ruslan Sokolovsky convicted of insulting the feelings of believers, the correspondent of “Interfax” on Friday from the courtroom.
The court reduced the sentence to R. Sokolowski from three years and six months suspended to two years and three months probation.
Sam R. Sokolowski told journalists that “are not particularly satisfied with the court’s decision” and intends to appeal “until the ECHR”.
In the summer of 2016 R. Sokolowski posted on the Internet a video in which he caught the pokemon in the Temple-on-Blood, built on the site of Ipatiev house, in the basement of which was shot by the family of the last Russian Emperor.
According to the investigation, from may 2013 to September 2016, a blogger has posted on YouTube nine videos, which, according to the experts, contain signs of incitement of hatred or enmity. Some of these experts also evaluated as actions that offend the feelings of believers.
The verdict of R. Sokolowski has caused a wide public resonance.
