Media noted that the pilot could be a CICPC officer Oscar Perez. In the Internet there appeared his video message, recorded before the flight. “Venezuelans, beloved brothers, we are writing to you on behalf of the state. We — a coalition of the military, police and civil servants in the search for balance against the short-lived criminal government,” says the author of the message.

According to him, the group has no party affiliation. “This is not a fight against the rest of the armed forces, and against impunity, imposed by this government, against tyranny, against the dying of the young people who are struggling for their legitimate rights. Against hunger, against lack of health care and against fanaticism. It is a struggle for life, for hope, we are building”, — stated in the message.

The fate of the pilot is not reported. It is known that after circling the capital, he put his car on the roof of one of the buildings.
