Died the President of Vanuatu Baldwin Lonsdale

MOSCOW, 17 Jun — RIA Novosti. The President of Vanuatu Baldwin Lonsdale died of a heart attack, reports radio new Zealand.

Lonsdale died in hospital in the capital of Vanuatu Port Vila, where he was taken the day before after feeling ill.

Reuters citing local media reports that he was 67 years old.

Lonsdale was elected President of Vanuatu in 2014.

According to the Constitution, the new President of Vanuatu should be chosen by the members of Parliament and the chairmen of the regional governments within three weeks.
