Ukrainian pharmacy refused to sell abortifacients after conversations with the priest

Moscow. June 6. INTERFAX – the management of the pharmacy in Novovodyane village of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine after repeated conversations with the priest refused to sell abortifacients.

The corresponding Memorandum was signed between the pharmacy and Abbot of the local assumption Church priest Alexander Mikitenko, said on Tuesday the website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“The refusal to sell contraceptives abortifacient action is intended to create the conditions to enhance fertility in C. Novovodyane and save the lives of those kids that moms do not realize,” – said in the document.

The management of the pharmacy decided not only to stop the sale of hormonal contraceptives in the village, but also to conduct a number of activities aimed at protecting the rights of children to life.
