The Kremlin had a direct intervention in the US presidential election in 2016: report, declassified by the national security Agency

US intelligence found that on the day of presidential elections in the USA all computers of election commissions were attacked by hackers, who acted on the orders of the GRU, Russia.

This information was shared by the journalists of The Intercept, citing a secret report of the national security Agency, reports “Диалог.UA”.

The document says that the Russian cyber attack was subjected to one vendor of software for voting in the United States and 100 local election commissions received a phishing mail. Secret report dated 5 may and is proof that Russia interfered in the selection of the President of the United States in 2016. Also in the end says that the document is not yet complete and requires a detailed study of the Kremlin’s interference in the election.
