Orthodox congratulated in Moscow for Easter more than 20 thousand hospital patients, orphans, disabled and the homeless

Moscow. April 13. INTERFAX – Orthodox service of assistance “Mercy” raised funds for Easter gifts for more than 19 thousand of the elderly, disabled, homeless, orphans, large families, poor families and hospital patients.

Greetings in the framework of the charitable action “Give the joy of Easter” will be organized, in particular, in hospitals and in two psycho-neurological boarding schools of Moscow, reported “Interfax-Religion” on Thursday in a press-service “Mercy”.

In addition, in different parts of the city will be the congratulations of the Moscow homeless. It is planned to give them more than 2.2 thousand gifts: kits will include food, sweets, hygiene products. Greetings will be organized for grants from the Department of national policy and interreligious relations of Moscow with the support of the Synodal Department for charity.

To participate in the promotion, which runs the entire Easter week, beginning April 16, will attract priests, nurses and volunteers.
