WASHINGTON, March 6 — RIA Novosti. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the hysteria in Washington is hurting relations between Russia and the United States, according to CNN.
Peskov, rejected the accusations against Russia of meddling in elections in the United States. “We have no intention to intervene. The only thing I can tell you is that hysterical public opinion, hysteria in official Washington and in the American media — this causes a lot of damage to the future of our bilateral relations,” Peskov said.
Peskov also said that accusations of Russia’s involvement in cyberwoman in the United States are false. “It’s time someone in the States to think so whether we are weak that a country can interfere in our internal Affairs and to influence our electoral system?” — CNN quoted Peskov.
“It is impossible to imagine, and someone needs to say that it is not true. You have to be sober. Let’s come to himself” — said the press Secretary of the head of the Russian state.
According to him, the US is “number one player” on the world stage, and Russia would like to deal with a stable government in Washington. “As for us, we want to have a predictable partner, a predictable interlocutor in the dialogue. Unfortunately, there is no comfortable environment for our dialogue. Of course, we are very sorry” — said Peskov.
US intelligence agencies had previously accused Russia of meddling in elections in order to help Donald Trump, Moscow categorically denied.
