In Brooklyn derailed commuter train

The number of victims exceeded 100 people

Passenger commuter train on Wednesday derailed in Brooklyn, injuring more than 100 people, according to local authorities.

Train long Island railroad (Long Island Rail Road) went off the rails, unable to stop in time and crashed into the fence. From hitting some of the passengers fell and sustained injuries.

“We don’t know what happened to the driver. Obviously, there will be an investigation to determine what happened and why the driver did not stop the train before it crashed into the fence,” said the Governor of new York Andrew Cuomo.

As the Deputy head of the fire Department of new York, Dan Donohue, 11 people were taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Some victims were carried from the train on stretchers, and the rest, apply ice to the bruised in the fall.

In the accident were badly damaged the first two carriages of the train, bent the door and had broken several Windows.

Station, Atlantic Terminal, where the accident occurred, connects nine lines of the urban underground and is one of the busiest stations in new York.

This is the second major incident with the suburban Railways for the last three months. In September, the accident occurred at the station in Hoboken, new Jersey, which killed one person and injured 114.
