Moscow. 14 Dec. INTERFAX – the Deputy of the state Duma, the curator of the program of construction of churches in the capital Vladimir resin said about the uniqueness of this project.

“The program of construction of Orthodox churches – not someone’s a PR stunt, not someone’s personal project. This is a unique, national charity project, which is unique, perhaps not in the world”, – says Vladimir resin, in an article published Wednesday in the newspaper “Izvestia”.

He said that during the existence of the program 51 the temple was built, 44 are constructed, created more than 140 parishes.

The MP stressed that no construction company or large donations of individual patrons would not be able to “pull” the program, if not the real desire of the people who invest in the construction of temples, their time, effort and money.

“The Prime example – built in fact during the year the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh on Khodynka field. This desire of Muscovites could not prevent any protests organized outside. The arrival together with the rector, father Vasily Beceem, based on the desire of residents to build a temple in memory of the fallen airmen, part in the construction of people of different faiths-Muslims, Jews and even followers of Krishna, built this temple in record time,” – said in the article.

According to the author, the main urban development the goal of the program is to provide Muscovites walking distance to the temples erected by them in the vicinity of their homes, and most importantly “to make the life of the congregation, residents of the area comfortable and convenient, the surrounding area landscaped and planted to a happy soul”.

The programme started with the consecration of Patriarch Kirill in April 2011, laying of the temple in honor of saints Cyril and Methodius at the Dubrovka theatre in Moscow on the site of the attack.

The project is implemented solely on donations together with the city hall. In 2015, the program donated more than 3 billion rubles.

In the framework of the project, particularly the restored Church of the Transfiguration at the Transfiguration square, together with the Museum of military glory, renovated the Moscow diocesan house of the Prince Vladimir Church, near the Eastern wall of the Novodevichy convent recreated the temple-monument in honor of the beheading of John the Baptist, built temples at MGIMO, the Academy of the FSB.
