BERLIN, November 23 — RIA Novosti. The athlete from Tatarstan, multiple world champion in kickboxing Musa Musalaev killed in Germany in Neu-Ulm, according to the newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine.
According to the newspaper, 37-year-old man shot and killed last Friday by unknown. Shots were fired at 18.00 (20.00 Moscow time), after that, the attacker in the mask fled the scene by car.
Police are studying witness testimony and check if there’s a connection between that crime and a murder that happened seven months ago. Then, in the neighboring state of Baden-württemberg was shot by another former world champion in kickboxing.
Rumors that the victim was in contact with the Russian mafia, the police has not commented.
Musa Musalaev nicknamed “the Prince” was the world champion in kickboxing competitions held in different categories. He was an official Ambassador of the 2013 Universiade in Kazan. After his career in 2013, he moved to Germany.
