The European court of human rights (ECHR) communicated a complaint Ildar Dading of torture in the colony to the government of Russia. About this in his Facebook said the representative of the convicted person in the ECHR Nikolay Zboroshenko.

“The European Court of human rights informed me about the communication to the Government of Russia complaints of alleged torture against Ildar Dading”, — he wrote.

The complaint was communicated under article 3 of the European Convention for the protection of human rights, which States that no one shall be subjected to torture or other cruel or degrading treatment or punishment. He also noted that the ECtHR reminded the government of continuing Russia’s obligations to prevent Zboroshenko to Dadina.

Earlier, on 19 November, it became known that the head of the HRC Mikhail Fedotov will present to President Vladimir Putin’s report on his visit to the colony IK-7, which contains opposition activist Ildar Dading. He also noted that soon the members of the Council on human rights re-visited the colony.

In early November, the publication Meduza has published an open letter Ildar Dading in which he told about torture and threats from employees of the colony. Shortly thereafter, the Investigative Committee of Russia began checking.

Later in the Federal penitentiary service said that the independent doctors did not find signs of torture, “as well as signs of previous injuries” on the body of the Dading. However, a member of the HRC Igor Kalyapin told that to convict, could be applied to violent measures. “I was under the belief that Dading events laid out right,” he said. According to the results of examinations by independent medical practitioner injury activist convicted was affirmed.
