The Russian direct investment Fund (RDIF) multiple of increased investment in the project Hyperloop vacuum train. This was stated to journalists by the head of the Fund Kirill Dmitriev, “Interfax”.
“And even with the United States, we have some news that we have increased our investment in the Hyperloop. I will not disclose the details, but, say, multiple”, — Dmitriyev told reporters on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Peru.
He noted that it is a joint investment with the Dubai port operator DP World. Also Dmitriev said that RDIF sees the potential for the development of joint projects with investors from the United States and consults on development issues and restore cooperation with American partners.
The Hyperloop project in 2012 was presented by the founder of SpaceX Elon Musk. He invited enthusiasts to build a “vacuum pipe” in the form of a closed pipe, in which the train can move at a speed of from 480 to 1220 km/h due to the absence of rails friction and air resistance.
