Chief Rabbi of Russia thanked the Patriarch for the rebirth of morality

MOSCOW, Nov 19 — RIA Novosti. Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar thanked the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill for the revival of morality in society and a fundamental rejection of anti-Semitism, reported the press service of the Rabbi.

“You have dedicated your entire life to the great cause of the revival of religion and morality in society, the spiritual gathering of Russian lands after years of unbelief, moral chaos and militant atheism”, — said in greeting the Patriarch of Lazard in connection with its 70 th anniversary.

The Rabbi added that all believers vote regardless of religious affiliation — appreciate the role of the Patriarch in the process of revival of religiosity in Russia.

The chief Rabbi thanked the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church for “repeatedly expressed a fundamental rejection of anti-Semitism” and efforts to promote interreligious and interethnic dialogue. According to Lazar, thanks to the ongoing ROC rate for coordination of all traditional religions Russia has become an example of interreligious peace, but anti-Semitism is an absolutely marginal phenomenon.

“Your preaching justice and charity, peacemaking and patriotism, brotherly love and family values have earned the deep respect of millions of our fellow citizens,” said Lazar.

Calling the 70th anniversary after for Jewish sages, “the age of gray hairs,” the chief Rabbi wished the Patriarch “of good health and full success in selfless service.”
