Media: FIFA Commission rejected the pitch, “Zenit-Arena” due to vibration

MOSCOW, 3 Dec — RIA Novosti. FIFA Commission rejected roll-out the stadium “Zenit arena” in St. Petersburg; the discontent of sports officials caused the high vibration level of the arena, writes the Internet-the edition “Fontanka”.

According to the publication, 31 October the city was visited by the Director on organization of competitions FIFA Colin Smith, head of the Department for the preparation of the world Championships Christian Unger and representatives of Russian “organizing Committee-2018”.

The review said “Fontanka” that the members of the Commission “came into injected inside of the arena field and started jumping on the lawn”, with the result that the surface of the stadium “zaproszenie”.

As a result, the Commission stated that such vibration is invalid when casting competitions. Thus, according to the newspaper, builders were aware of the problem.

“Vibration was expected for engineers. And there was an understanding that they need to be removed before putting into operation”, — explained the source of “Fontanka”, familiar with the construction of the St. Petersburg stadium.

The publication says that the design Bureau of “high-rise and underground construction”, which is the General designer of the stadium has not yet received formal complaints about the quality of “Zenit-Arena”. Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Igor Albin, said that FIFA Commission expressed “working notes, no fatal”.

The new stadium on Krestovsky island in St. Petersburg began to build for the football club “Zenit” in 2007. In connection with the application of the holding in Russia of world football championship of 2018, the project sent back for revision to arena fully meet the FIFA requirements in terms of capacity and security.

Earlier it was reported that the stadium can pass in “Zenith” in January 2017.
