Zeldin will be buried at Novodevichy cemetery near the grave of Lev Durov

MOSCOW, Nov 2 – RIA Novosti. Actor Vladimir Zeldin on Thursday, will be buried at Novodevichy cemetery near the grave of Lev Durov, RIA Novosti reported the press service of the state Ritual on Wednesday.

“Vladimir Zeldin will be buried in plot 5, near the grave of L. Durov”, — told RIA Novosti press-service of the state Ritual.

Zeldin died in Moscow on 102-m to year of life on Monday. Farewell to the actor will be held on Thursday, November 3, at the Russian army theatre, where he served from 1945; the funeral will be held at the Novodevichy cemetery.

Vladimir Zeldin served in the Central academic theatre of the Russian Army in 1945, giving him more than 70 years of life. He entered the Guinness book of records as the only actor in the world playing in the company at that old age. In the theatre Zeldin has played over 50 roles in such productions as “the taming of the shrew” by William Shakespeare, “the Law of Lycurgus” Theodore Dreiser, “the Makropulos case” by Karel Capek, “My profession — signer of the society’s” Giulio Sarnacki and Renzo Tarabusi, “the knacker” by Francoise Sagan, and others.
