Sergei Tsoi was elected President of karate Federation of Russia

MOSCOW, 1 Dec — R-Sport. Sergey Tsoy unanimously elected President of the karate Federation of Russia (CFR), reported on the official website of the organization.

Elections were held at the reporting-election conference of the FCR, which was held on Saturday in the building of the Russian Olympic Committee in Moscow. Choi was the only candidate.

Also on Saturday all the participants of the conference unanimously supported the candidacy of Svetlana Zaitseva for the position of General Secretary of the FCR.

Choi will replace on a post of the President of Federation Sergey Sokolovsky, who led the FCA since 2012. In the beginning of the conference Sokolowski made a report on progress over 4 years work. Next the congregation grew, Vice-presidents Andrey Potapov and Alexey Andreev and members of the Presidium of RKF.

In August, at the 129th session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Rio de Janeiro it was decided to include in the program of summer Olympic games 2020 to be held in Tokyo, five new types of sports, including karate.
