Merkel urged Poroshenko to take a decisive step in the implementation of the “Minsk-2”

BERLIN, 17 Sep — RIA Novosti, Tatiana Firsova. German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged to make a decisive contribution to the implementation of the Minsk agreements on settling the situation in Ukraine, said the official representative of the Cabinet of Germany Ulrike Demmer.

“The Chancellor expressed the belief that next week should be used in order to make a decisive step forward,” the statement says, Demmer.

Merkel also said that political reconciliation should show both sides of the conflict in the Donbass.

It is reported that the Chancellor spoke with Poroshenko on the further implementation of the agreements as a whole.
