The CEC will appeal the Prosecutor General’s office in connection with the “shameless use of” administrative resource in Yakutia during the election campaign. This was reported by the CEC head, Ella Pamfilova, reports “RIA Novosti”.
“Unfortunately, in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), despite a number of measures which, taken together with our colleagues, representatives of the Prosecutor’s office and the interior Ministry, continues unabashed use of administrative resource,” she said, promising that the Committee “will not close their eyes” to the situation.
“I will ask the legal Department to prepare an appeal to the Prosecutor General for a thorough examination of the situation,” — said Pamfilova.
In August, the CEC has received complaints of violations during the collection of signatures for independent candidate, the state adviser of the Republic of Andrei Borisov. After that Pamfilova has declared about “mass forgery” of signatures of voters and in Yakutia has arrived the special Commission.
Last week, on 17 August, the representative of the special Commission of the CEC of the Russian Federation Alexander Klyukin said that the situation in the regional electoral Commission “difficult”. “I note that we leave only to serious violations. That is our arrival to Yakutsk indicates the seriousness of the situation,” he said, according to Yakutia.info.
