Russia and the US will discuss the response following the report of himatakah in Syria

Russia and the United States together to consider further action on the basis of a report on the use of chemical weapons in Syria. This was stated by Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin, reports “RIA Novosti”.

He called the report “thorough” and said the need to study it. Churkin also said that he had already discussed the information contained in the report, US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, who currently is on vacation.

“We agreed that as soon as she gets back from vacation we will get together and see what can be done on the basis of this report,” said the diplomat.

Churkin stressed that Russia and the United States there is a “General interest in seeing these things [the chemical attack] happen.”

Earlier, Reuters has published details of the investigation of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons and the UN, which stated that the forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons in the country. The experts found that the two himataki were carried out by the Syrian government forces, another — militants of the banned in Russia grouping “Islamic state”.

After that, the US government urged Russia and Iran and other member States of the UN to participate in investigation of facts of use of chemical weapons in Syria and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The report of the United Nations and the OPCW on the chemical attacks in Syria will be considered by the members of the UN Security Council on August 30.

On Friday, August 26, the situation in Syria, will discuss the foreign Ministers of Russia and the USA Sergey Lavrov and John Kerry. Their meeting will take place in Geneva.
