Two invaders of the police station in Yerevan surrendered to the authorities

In Yerevan voluntarily surrendered to the authorities two of the occupants of the building to the police. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to the police of Armenia.

As clarified in law enforcement, from the building of a regiment of patrol-guard service, Ruben Grigoryan and Gevorg Melkonian. Two invaders were injured and are currently hospitalized in medical institutions where they receive the necessary assistance.

The court also arrested a wounded member of an armed group, who is considered its leader, Pavel Manukian. Currently it has been forwarded to the penitentiary institution “Hospital for convicts”. He was charged under two articles — for the seizure of a building and unlawful acquisition, possession and carrying of weapons.

July 17, an armed group of “Sasna tsrer” took in hostages of employees of law enforcement agencies in the building of the patrol service of police in Yerevan. Initially, the invaders demanded the release from prison of the leader of the opposition movement “Founding Parliament”, party to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh Zhirayr Sefilyan, who is suspected of illegal possession and purchase of weapons. Later members of the group demanded the resignation of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
