The IOC called for a retrial of the Russian weightlifters

The international Olympic Committee (IOC) has promised to review the decision on the admission of Russian weightlifters for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, if court of arbitration for Sport (CAS) will satisfy their complaints on the suspension from the Games. This was stated to journalists by the representative of the IOC mark Adams, reports the Agency “R-Sport”.

“If the decision is changed (as a result of the appeal in CAS, we will consider it,” he said.

The international weightlifting Federation (IWF) has suspended the entire Russian team from participation in the Games is Friday, July 29. Athletes Tatiana Kashirina and Anastasia Romanov was ousted Russian Olympic Committee because of violation of anti-doping legislation.
