At the airport Ataturk in Istanbul, where the explosions occurred on 28 June 2016
The victims of the attack in the international terminal of the Istanbul Ataturk airport became the 31st person. Killed 147 people. This was reported by Turkish TV channel Haberturk citing a statement by the Minister of justice. Earlier NTV reported 32 dead and 106 injured, the Associated Press source said that killed about 50 people.
According to the TV station, at the airport in Istanbul on Tuesday evening, June 28, thundered three explosions, they were made by suicide bombers. Responsibility for the attack has not yet assumed none of the terrorist organizations, but the source Agency Dogan reported that the police believe responsible for the attack “Islamic state” (banned in Russia).
After the explosion police cordoned off the airport building, people inside were evacuated. Ataturk ceased to accept and send flights, it is expected that the message at the airport will recover in the afternoon of 29 June.
