Obama has offered aid to Turkey in the investigation of the terrorist attack in Istanbul

US President Barack Obama in a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered support and assistance in the investigation of the terrorist attack at Istanbul airport Ataturk. This was announced by the White house spokesman Josh Ernest, reports Daily Sabah.

Obama has suggested to Erdogan “any support” in the investigation of the attack and the adoption of measures to further strengthen security, said Ernest. He has not indicated officially whether Turkey requested the assistance of the United States.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed his condolences to Erdogan and the Turkish people because of the incident of the terrorist attack at the airport in Istanbul. In addition, the leaders discussed the process of normalization of relations, which deteriorated after Turkish F-16 shot down a Russian su-24.
