Operators MTS and “MegaFon” has expressed willingness to purchase a competitor, Tele2, in the case that it will be put up for sale. The representatives of MTS and “MegaFon” announced at the conference “Renaissance Capital”, the report said the analysts of the investment Bank.
Both operators could buy Tele2 as a whole or to divide it, the report says. The meeting discussed only the theoretical possibility of a transaction and not a “substantive information”, reported “Interfax” one of the participants of the conference.
“Any talk about this are hypothetical in nature,” said RBC representative of MTS Dmitry Solodovnikov. MegaFon has not received any proposals for the purchase of Tele2, said RBC representative of the operator Julia Dorokhin.
