The Kremlin responded to reports of the summit “channel four”

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov told reporters that now there are no preconditions for holding another meeting of the heads of the countries “Norman Quartet”, the correspondent of RBC. He was commenting on reports that the leaders of Germany and France to initiate new summit.

“In the sense that of course all countries “channel four” wished to organize such productive meetings is true,” — said Peskov in response to the question of how true the message about the meeting of heads of the countries “Norman Quartet.”

According to Peskov, now there are no preconditions for such a meeting, as there are no preconditions in order to become successful. Preconditions, he said, could occur if there was a demonstration of the Ukrainian side readiness to go for the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements. “Prospects for the performance, conduct is hardly possible”, — said the representative of the Kremlin.

The day before that a new meeting in “Norman format” could take place before the NATO summit in early July, reported the German Stuttgarter Zeitung. The newspaper cited a source in the German government, which pledged “to ensure the timely creation of a new edition of the Minsk summit”.

The Minsk agreement was reached in February 2015 during the summit “channel four” — Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
