The CEO of Alibaba Group in Russia mark Zavadsky explained the low performance of the project “Russian fashion” the actual suspending it. Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported about the failure of the pilot project for the promotion of Russian products on the web site AliExpress, according to the newspaper a few months buyers have made just 24 of the order.
“Fast enough, before the end of last year it became clear that in its current form the draft does not work, its activities were effectively suspended until development of a new operating decisions and the pricing policy of participants. For our part, we were ready to continue to give the shop traffic, but it has become clear that we need to change the operating model and simplify integration on the platform,” wrote the journalist on his page in the network Facebook.
He also noted that the setback suffered only one store and a difficulty at the start were associated with lack of operator experience, e-Commerce and debugged by procedure integration.
“The strategy of AliExpress – continued work with the Russian sellers, we remain committed and will continue to provide them with promotional resources and priority to improve the conditions of integration. We are ready to continue with the project “Fashion. Made in Russia and we do not consider this a failure, rather an important experience, from which we and our partners have learned. I am sure that before the end of the summer, we will be able to show good results for sellers from Russia”, – said Zavadsky.
