The canadian Parliament voted for the legalization of euthanasia

The canadian Parliament passed a law legalizing euthanasia. About it reports TV channel CBC News.

The adoption of a law voted by 190 deputies, against – 108.

On Friday evening, the bill received Royal assent, and earlier in the day the law was finally approved in the Senate: voted for 44, against – 28.

In February last year, the Supreme court of Canada overturned a ban on euthanasia, which operated in the country since 1993. The court permitted the doctors to help to go able-bodied patients who have a incurable but not necessarily deadly diseases and suffer from long intolerable pain”.

The Supreme court provided the canadian authorities 12 months to bring in legislation accordingly.
