The leader of the unregistered Party of progress Alexei Navalny has written an open letter to President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the Chairman of the Central election Commission, Ella Pamfilova. In it, he asks to allow the parties to participate in elections to the state Duma. This is stated on the website of the Bulk.
“We want to participate in the elections, and today I and on its own behalf and on behalf of the progress Party appeal to President Putin, Prime Minister Medvedev and the head of the CEC Pamfilova with a request to allow us to participate in the elections. We have a political and legal right,” said Bulk.
He noted that the progress Party is different from any other Russian parties that were made more than all the legal actions for its registration. Navalny reminded that earlier the party has already been denied three times. In the end, the progress Party managed to register, but soon she was deprived of the right to participate in Duma elections “illegal decision of the Ministry of justice with the active support of the CEC.” Then the Party of progress liquidated.
17 June, Putin ordered elections to the state Duma on 18 September. For the first time in many years, Duma elections will be held under a mixed system. According to party lists will be elected 225 deputies, other deputies in single — mandate constituencies.
