Basmanny court of Moscow extended the arrest of the former head of Komi Vyacheslav Gaizer, his Deputy Alexei Chernov, Deputy of the Republic Igor Kovzel and financiers Lev Libenson, Michael Gruzino and Igor Kudinova. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to the press-Secretary of the Juno Tsarev.

“Basmanny court satisfied petition of the investigating authorities on the extension of the detention period in respect of Gaiser, Kovzel, Libinzon to 19 September 2016,” — said Tsarev. The arrest of Chernov, Kudinov and Khruzina extended to September 20.

The court rejected motions by the defendants and their lawyers to change the measure of restraint to any other that is not related to detention.

Gayzer was arrested September 20, 2015. Also arrested were 14 defendants in the case. Against it criminal case under article 210 (the criminal community) and 159 (fraud) of the criminal code. Gaiser doesn’t admit the guilt.

According to investigators, the community Gayzer operated since 2006. Investigators believe that the purpose of a criminal group was the seizure of state property. The damage from the actions of the organization is estimated at 1 billion rubles
