A Committee of U.S. congressmen launched an investigation of the systems of cybersecurity of the Federal reserve system (FRS). About it reports Reuters.
According to the Agency, the Committee of the house of representatives on science, space and technology sent a letter to the Chairman of the Federal reserve of the USA Janet Yellen, which expressed “grave concern” about the ability of Central Bank to protect confidential financial information.
In the letter, in particular, says that in the period from 2011 to 2015, the U.S. Federal reserve was subjected to cyber attacks more than 50 times.
“Those reports are seriously concerned about the situation of the cyber security system of the fed, including its ability to prevent threats against confidential financial information contained in the system,” the letter reads.
