Bloomberg found out about the talks of ONEXIM to sell its stake in Uralkali

ONEXIM billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov is in talks with “a Company” on the sale of shares in Uralkali, the largest potash proizvoditele, reports Bloomberg, citing two interlocutors familiar with the situation.

The agreement for sale has not yet been reached, and Prokhorov has not yet made a final decision, said sources. ONEXIM controls Uralkali together with URALCHEM, so Prokhorov’s group until the conclusion of any transaction requires the consent of the partner, says Bloomberg.

One option, about which negotiations are underway, is selling shares of ONEXIM directly Uralkali, for which the group expects to receive about $4 billion, said one of the interlocutors edition.

All three companies declined to comment on this information.

Currently, ONEXIM owns 20% of shares of “Uralkali”. Prokhorov’s group bought a stake in the company in 2013 the Suleiman Kerimov Foundation — Suleyman Kerimov Foundation. At the same time share in Uralkali bought URALCHEM, which now owns 19.9% of shares.
