Net retail sales network “the Magnet” in April 2016, amounted to 88,156 billion rubles, which is by 14.67% higher than April of 2015, follows from the message of the company. Compared to March 2016 revenue growth on an annual basis, declined by 0.88 percentage points (from 15.35%).
Reduction of annual rate of revenue growth reported in most segments in which it operates, “the Magnet”. In particular, revenue growth of convenience stores declined in April in comparison with March from 14.77% to 14.1%, family stores – 37,26% to 34.24 per cent, drogerie stores selling non-food consumer goods (cosmetics, perfumes, hygiene products) – s of 84.49% to 79,33%.
At the same time, sales of hypermarkets “Magnit” in April showed a slight (+0,06%) increase, after declining in March (-0,98%).
According to the company, for the first four months of 2016, total revenue of “Magnet” has made preliminary estimates 342,591 billion rubles, which is 16.09% more than the same period last year.
Earlier it was reported that for the first quarter of 2016, the revenue of “Magnet” grew by 16.59%, while the revenue of X5 Retail Group – by 26.7%.
The total number of “Magnit” stores by the end of April 2016 increased to 12 thousand 577. For the first four months of 2016 sales network of the company increased by 488 stores, the total sales area by approximately 20,79%. In April 2016 the number of stores “Magnit” increased by 143 units.
