Renault and Ford left the Russian Council for foreign investment

French automaker Renault and American Ford Motor company and United Technologies Corp. left the composition of the Consultative Council on foreign investments (FIAC) in Russia. About it reports “Interfax” citing a source familiar with the activities of the Council, and confirmed by a representative of the Ministry of economic development.

According to the source Agency, the failure of these companies was the lack of activity in the working groups and the plenary sessions passes. Simultaneously, part of the FIAC, the company adopted the German chemical company Henkel AG, Samsung Electronics, the South Korean group Hyundai Heavy Industries and French company Societe Generale.

The source noted that some members of FIAC, among them Coca-Cola, Deutsche Bank, Siemens and others, it was recommended to intensify the work of the Council.

FIAC is a permanent body under the government, which includes major foreign investors.The Council was created in 1994. The Chairman of FIAC is the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
