Former employees of the fish processing plant on Shikotan, who complained about the long delay in salary to the President of Russia during “straight line”, paid the debt. This was reported RIA Novosti on Saturday in a press-service of the Governor of the Sakhalin region.
The representative of the press service said that the debts are repaid in full.
During the “Direct line with Vladimir Putin” on 14 April, the staff of the Island complained to the President that for months they are not paid. Injured workers reported that some were threatened, after they were invited to “Straight line”. They also said that complained to the Prosecutor of the Sakhalin region and has sent a letter to the presidential administration. In response, Putin said that their emails had not seen, and instructed the Prosecutor General of Russia Yuri Chaika to investigate whether the position of the head of the local Prosecutor’s office.
The next day, the press service of the government of the Sakhalin region has informed that the managing Director of a fish factory “Island” Alexey Popov in the village of Ozerki on the island of Shikotan and brought his former employees money, but also apologized.
