Created Agency for technological development can be headed by the Deputy Minister of Far East development Maxim shereikin “Vedomosti”. According to a source close to the selection procedure, at the initial stage it shereikin was considered as the main candidate for the post of General Director of the Agency.

As told “Vedomosti” the President of “Business Russia” Alexey Repik, now five candidates who passed preliminary selection, will be interviewed at the Vice-Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who will chair the Board of Directors of the Agency. According to the results of preliminary selection of the first place in the ranking took seracin.

The source also stressed that in the past, shereikin was Deputy Governor of Kaluga region, and largely thanks to him, Kaluga became an attractive investment.

The idea of the creation of the Agency for technological development in the past year, voiced in his address to the Federal Assembly President Vladimir Putin. “I think it’s also correct to support the initiative of the business community and create Agency for technological development, which will assist enterprises in the acquisition of domestic and foreign patents and licenses, engineering services. Access to foreign markets, expansion of Russian products have become a natural strategy for the development of national business, the entire Russian economy”, — he said.

According to Alexey Repik, which lead to “Vedomosti”, the main task of the Agency is to analyze the needs of Russian companies and to find suitable solutions in other countries and industries. It will also provide consultancy and support of transactions that includes legal and technological support. It will also help to display products on the market, to remove administrative barriers, to facilitate banks and development institutions.

The Agency for technological development established under the government, supervise its work will be the Ministry of industry and trade. On the work of the Agency in 2016 budget will be allocated $0.2 billion rubles.
