The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine confirmed the existence of bribery case Yatsenyuk

In answer to Deputy inquiry to the General Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine confirmed the existence of criminal proceedings about a bribe, a defendant who is the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk. As stated in the answer Department, pre-trial inspection is carried out on suspicion in receiving a bribe Yatsenyuk in the amount of $3 million for the appointment of the head of “Concern RRT” Vladimir Ischuk.

The response text is published on the website of the public movement “people’s control”. It is headed by the independent Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the member of parliamentary Committee on questions of prevention and counteraction of corruption Dmitry Dobrodomov, which was sent to the General Prosecutor’s office corresponding request.

The Prosecutor General’s office reported that the Department of investigation and supervision in criminal proceedings in the sphere of civil service and property continued pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings provided for part 4 St. 368 Criminal code of Ukraine upon receiving Yatsenyuk improper benefits in the amount of $3 million for the appointment to the post of head of the Concern of radio broadcasting, radio communication and television of Ukraine, Ischuk.

In September 2015 the MP Sergey Kaplin said that the Pechersk district court of Kyiv ordered the Prosecutor General to launch an investigation on this case and enter it in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations. Previously he went to court with the complaint to inactivity of the Prosecutor General, which, despite a parliamentary inquiry, made the case in ERDR.

April 10, Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his forthcoming resignation. During the TV program “10 minutes with Prime Minister”, he said that his resignation will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on April 12.

However, this did not happen. Presidency of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy was not made a question about the premiere at the discussion and announced the closing of evening sessions.
