Half of Russians believe in the ability of the government to overcome the crisis

More than half of Russian citizens believe that the government knows how to deal with the economic crisis, and almost every second believes that the authorities are able to improve the situation in the near future. This is according to the opinion poll, conducted in mid-February among 1.6 thousand people.

According to the survey, 55% of Russians believe that the government has a plan to overcome the economic crisis. Among them, 70% of supporters of “United Russia”, and 64% of young people aged 18-24 years.

The reverse view is taken by 32% of respondents. Among them the most part are supporters of non-parliamentary parties (56%) and Communist party supporters (48%).

Respondents almost every second Russian (49%) believes that the government will change the situation in the economy, according to data VTSIOM. Skeptical on this issue are set 23% of the respondents, 23% believe that the chances of failure and at failure are approximately equal.
