Party Poroshenko has nominated a new Prime Minister

Speaker Of The Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman

The faction Block Petro Poroshenko (PPO) has nominated the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groisman to the post of Prime Minister. The journalists informed the Deputy Chairman of the faction “popular front” Victoria syumar, reports UNIAN. “Popular front” is the fraction of current Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Syumar noted that the meeting of leaders of the coalition factions is still ongoing. The PPO has not yet officially declared that for the candidacy of Groysman.

“BPP has finally responded to our proposal on the need to resolve the political crisis and has made his candidacy for the position of head of the government”, — said the head of the faction “people’s front” Maxim Burbak (quoted by Faction “popular front” will consider the proposal of our partners in the PPO on the candidacy of Vladimir Groisman and principles of formation of a new coalition and decide about their future steps,” he promised.

Previously Yatsenyuk said that his faction will consider the possibility of forming a new government, if the proposed candidate for Prime Minister and will be known that it will support the majority of deputies.

About the discontent with work of the government, President Petro Poroshenko and members of the ruling coalition say a long time, but in mid-February in the Parliament has not gathered enough votes to send Premier Yatsenyuk. Initiate following the vote, Rada in September, so now the preferred mechanism leaving Yatsenyuk will be his voluntary resignation, says Ukrainian political analyst Volodymyr Fesenko. If it is not solved on this step, can be used various articles of the Constitution, which, however, come together in conflict, says Fesenko. The right to propose and approve its premiere in Ukraine belongs to the majority coalition.

After the failure of the vote on the resignation of the government two factions — “Fatherland” and “Self-help” announced its withdrawal from the ruling coalition. Earlier, about leaving the coalition said the Radical party of Oleh Lyashko. Legally, the output of deputies from the coalition was issued is not, formally, this only happened today. “Oleg Lyashko gave Vladimir Groisman that he withdraws the signatures of their MPs under the coalition agreement. Thus, there is less than 226 signatures, and the meeting agreed that there is considerable doubt regarding the existence of the coalition,” she said.

March 23, Poroshenko said that the government should form 29 March. In recent days Ukrainian politicians, including the head of the presidential administration Boris Lozhkin, said that as Prime Minister there are two favourites: the Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko and Volodymyr Groysman.

If approved Groysman, the government will be a coalition with Ministers from members of the coalition, not entirely technocratic, as wanted Jaresko, says Fesenko. When Prime Minister Groysman, most likely, will be created a special post of Deputy Prime Minister for cooperation with the West, says the expert. Ukrainian media with reference to sources in presidential administration reported that the post of Deputy Prime Minister may take Boris Lozhkin.
