Putin condemned the terrorist attack in Ankara

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has condemned the recent terrorist attack in Ankara and expressed his condolences to the families of victims and the Turkish people. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to the statement of press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.

“The President of Russia is mourning together with the entire Turkish nation, which was subjected to another terrorist attack, in connection with numerous human victims”, — said the press Secretary.

He noted that Putin “wished speedy recovery to the injured”.

Explosion in Turkish capital region Kazaly occurred on Sunday evening. According to recent reports, the victims were 32 people, at least 75 were injured. It is unknown whether the dead and injured Russian citizens.

As previously noted by the authorities, the area where the attack occurred, is popular with residents — there are shopping and entertainment center, metro station, bus stop and several banks.

Responsibility for the incident has not taken any terrorist organization. However, a source in law enforcement bodies of Turkey told Reuters that the responsibility for the attack may lie with the Kurdistan workers ‘ party (PKK) or the associated group. The PKK is recognized as terrorist in Turkey.
