Expensive

The NASA idea is not new — in the past Roscosmos drove “normal” people to the Russian segment of the ISS. In 2009 the station was visited by the founder of Cirque du Soleil, guy laliberté, the journey cost him $ 35 million. Then all was quiet, but already in 2020, Roscosmos plans to resume the flights of space tourists. One ticket will cost approximately $ 30 million. Probably the same cost will be and NASA. This source of income will be very useful.

Tourists will be sent together with ISS crews on the new ships Cockpit (Boeing) and Dragon V2 (Space X), the details yet. The proposal still must be approved by the Advisory Board at full strength, then it will be sent for approval to the Director of NASA Jim Bridenstine.
Space brand

NASA puts on expansion of cooperation with the private sector. In addition to space tourism are discussed other ideas, including selling companies the right to call the spacecraft to its name. The Agency may also lift the ban on the participation of astronauts in advertising. The NASA management wants to create a strong brand that will inspire people.
