What is known

Information shared insider Quant Roland (Roland Quandt). The report shows that the performance increase in single core test significant compared to SD 845. But despite this, the new chip failed to overtake their nearest competitors. In the multicore test results is much better. The CPU scored more points than Kirin 980, Exynos and Snapdragon 845 9810, but Apple A12 Bionic he is still far away.

According to rumors, the Snapdragon 8150 will receive four energy-efficient core and four-processor (Cortex-A-55 and A-76). The first four go under the code name “Silver” and operate at a frequency of 1.7 GHz, the other four teams (Gold) — 2.6 GHz. Naturally, as HiSilicon Kirin 980 and Apple A12 Bionic new flagship Qualcomm processor will be built on the 7-nanometer process technology.

Someone’s been benchmarking the hell out of the Snapdragon 8150 (or 855) lately. Massive improvement on single core perf, not so much on multi core. https://t.co/ZaCBlycLuB
