We already wrote about the fact that because of the requirements of the European Commission, Google will start charging manufacturers of smartphones and tablets fee for the preset in the Android branded apps and services. And now in the hands of the journalists of The Verge got a confidential document with all the rate.
The issue price

Paid “service” will be only for European economic area (EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). Moreover, the calculation takes into account not only the country but also the device type, but rather the increased PPI (pixel per inch density of pixels per inch).

The highest price for a package of Google Mobile Services will be for devices with a screen density of over 500 pixels per inch, which will be sold in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Norway and the Netherlands — $40. $20 will pay manufacturers of smartphones with PPI from 400 to 500 pixels per inch, below 400 — $10. In some countries the Google applications and services for state employees will cost only $2.5.

What will be included in the kit

Google Mobile Services include Google Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube. Licenses for Chrome and Google search, will sell separately.

Manufacturers who want to preinstall search engine and browser on their smartphones, will be encouraged: in this way they will be able to partially or fully cover the cost of licensing.
When you start to pay

The new rules come into force on 29 October. Google will charge devices that are activated on 1 February 2019.
