Airline Brussels Airlines, 2017 fully owned by Lufthansa, made its first flight to Boryspil international airport from Brussels. The carrier plans to conduct flights between the capitals of Belgium and Ukraine four times per week. About it reports the Center for transport strategies.
It is reported that the flights will be operated on Mondays and Wednesdays with departure from Brussels at 9:20 local time and arriving at 13:10. Return flights these days is scheduled for 13:55 arrival at 16:05. Friday and Sunday flights from the Belgian capital will be 12:00 with arrival in Kiev at 15:50. From Boryspil in these days of scheduled departure 16:35 arrival 18:45.
We will remind, it was planned that on October 17 in Ukraine will fly the aircraft, the livery of which is devoted to the cartoon “the Smurfs”, which this year celebrates 60 years. However, the airport flew the plane with registration number OO-SNA in the color of the national football team of Belgium, called the “Red devils”. Brussels Airlines is the official carrier of the national team. The livery of the aircraft is also depicted a Trident.
As previously stated the General Director of the Lufthansa Group in Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan Rene Koinzak, the company hopes that there will be demand for flights to Brussels from business and government officials because Belgium is home to one of the conference rooms of the European Parliament, the headquarters of NATO, the European Commission and other international organizations.
