A good update

Kindle Paperwhite version 2018 received the same 6-inch E Ink Carta display with a pixel density of 300 ppi, the company has just added a fifth led for more uniform illumination. The amount of internal memory in the basic version has doubled to 8 GB, there is also a model of 32 GB and support for 4G LTE. Why so much? E-book equipped with a Bluetooth module, and now with wireless headphone you can listen to audiobooks from the Audible catalog. Amazon has updated the start screen with recommendations. Users can save different settings profiles read at any time and switch between them.

The novelty is protected from water standard IPX8 and can withstand immersion to a depth of two meters for one hour. This is the most slim Kindle Paperwhite. With dimensions of 167x116x8.18 mm, the reader weighs 182 grams (LTE variant — 191 grams). Variant in white color yet.

The starting price of Kindle Paperwhite rose by only $10. “Reader” ads on the lock screen will cost $130, and for the version 32 GB asking $160. The model without Special Offers — plus it’s $20.

The flagship line remains Amazon Kindle Oasis (from $250), and the model Kindle no backlight costs $80.
