McLaren 720S GT3 racer starts testing ahead of 2019 debut

The new McLaren 720S GT3 launched an extensive test program in advance of its introduction in 2019. The British company has also finalised price of the car, which will cost £440,000 for the ex-works versions.

The Woking manufacturer’s new racer is successful, the 650S GT3, which has won more than 50 races and a number of leagues during its life cycle, including the Blancpain GT Endurance Cup and the Australian GT Championship titles.

The two race versions of the 720S are in the testing phase in Europe, the Middle East and the UNITED states, with more than 18,500 miles of running planned, including a number of 24-hour and 36-hour test.

Built to GT3 regulations, for the customer of the race, the car will be approved to compete by the beginning of 2019. McLaren says that the goal of development is focused on speed and stability, together making the machine accessible for drivers of all abilities. GT3 race features a mix of professional and amateur drivers.
