Kiev. July 31. INTERFAX – starving the 79th day of the Russian colony “White bear” in the Arctic circle to the Ukrainian Oleg Sentsov refused to let the cleric.
First Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the representative of Kiev in humanitarian subgroup of the trilateral Contact group on the Donbas Irina Gerashchenko reported that after the priest tried to give Oleg Sentsov letter.
“To Sentsov refused to let the priest tried to give Oleg a letter. Tens of my emails forwarded, sent, passed through lawyers and others, there was never any answer. Perhaps they never came to Oleg”, – she wrote in Facebook, putting that at first were not allowed the Ukrainian Ombudsman, now a priest. “Complete isolation, including the information”, – concluded I. Gerashchenko.
Parliament Commissioner for human rights Lyudmila Denisova also reacted to the non-admission of the priest to Oleg Sentsov.
“Today, it has not made priest father Gregory, Bishop of the Apostolic Orthodox Church. (…) It is obvious that any reaction of the authorities of the Russian Federation in the name of Oleg Sentsov so emphatic – “do not let go!” – I wrote to the Ombudsman in Facebook.
Severo-the Caucasian district military court in Rostov-na-Donu in August 2015 sentenced Oleg Sentsov, detained in Crimea in 2014, to 20 years in a strict regime colony. In Russia he was accused of creating in the Crimea of the terrorist community.
14 may 2018, he went on hunger strike to demand the release of all Ukrainians detained in Russia “for political reasons”.
