Astrakhan. July 31. INTERFAX – the Imam of the Moscow mosque Yardyam Mahmud Velitov, sentenced to three years in prison for justifying terrorism taken to hospital in a penal colony in Astrakhan, have informed “Interfax” in a press-service of management of FSIN across the region on Tuesday.
“Convicted Velitov at the moment transferred to the regional hospital at the correctional institution. Threats to life and health, as well as serious diseases at the moment the condemned is not” – said the Agency interlocutor.
Earlier it was reported that on 28 April, the Moscow district military court sentenced M. Valitov to three years in a General regime colony. He is serving his sentence in a penal colony in Astrakhan.
As established by the court and a consequence, in September 2013, the Imam said in the mosque Yardyam speech justifying activities of one of the members of the terrorist organization “Hizb ut-Tahrir” (banned in Russia).
