Instagram I’m sorry for removing gay kiss photos

Olly Alexander and Jade Thirlwall are among the people who have expressed anger over Instagram taking down a photo of two men kissing.

The photo has been removed from the photographer Stella Asia Consonni s Instagram feed for “violation of community guidelines”.

Instagram says that the photo was removed by mistake.

“This post was removed by mistake, sorry about that. Since then it has been reinstated,” said a spokesperson of Instagram.

London-based photographer Stella posted the photo on Saturday, June 30, and then spoke about the picture removed in its Instastory.

The photo shows two men – Jordan Bowen and Luke Lucifer – and was published in a piece of I-D magazine.

It is part of a series of photos of the Star, which going to expose later this year, exploring new relationships through portraits of couples.

He reappeared on the Star-feeds on Sunday, after Olly, Jade and other key people in fashion, and the rights of LGBT people asked for Instagram because the photo was deleted.

Star says that he has not received messages that are homophobic, since before posting the photo.

“I have received many messages of hate, saying that it is disgusting and that I should kill myself for the recording that,” Stella tells Newsbeat.

The star says she was given no explanation from Instagram because they have restored her picture, and believed that it was done only after the protests of the public.

Jordan has also responded to the photo to be deleted, saying that her seven-year relationship with Luke had been “reduced to a community of address.”

Instagram says that the photo is among the “millions of reports a week” receive from offended users and that have not been removed.
