In France, people from Chechnya sentenced to 20 years for the murder of a businessman

PARIS, 9 Aug — RIA Novosti. The Paris jury convicted the native of Chechnya Ruslan Bersanova in the murder of Russian businessman Mikhail Lapin in March 2011 in France and sentenced him to twenty years in prison, told RIA Novosti lawyer of the dissatisfied party Irina Sidorova.

Bersanova was found guilty of premeditated murder and attempted murder committed in a criminal conspiracy. His accomplice Yazid Arsaliev acquitted, he can count on compensation for undue detention in custody for seven years. The third defendant in the case, Badrudin Kaimov for harboring stolen goods was sentenced to six months probation.

“Motivation is obtained with the solution on Monday. Son of the victim in shock from such a soft-hearted decision,” the lawyer said, explaining that the decision may appeal within ten days. “An appeal can produce a Prosecutor, but not an aggrieved party. On the possible appeal will be made known next week,” — said Sidorov.

In March 2011, former General Director of “Saratovstroisteklo” Lapin and his friend Elena Pravoslavnova flew to France to buy property on the French Riviera, according to French media. In the Paris airport they were met Bersanov and Arsaliev, who was driving the car. They took a few in the city to the East of Paris, where the owner was shot in the head. His companion was wounded, but survived.

In December 2016 in Russia, sentenced to 8.5 years in prison, the Sultan Sigauri, another defendant in the case about the murder of Lapin.
